The Curriculum

Montessori education uses scientifically prepared materials or what we call apparatus to teach children language, mathematics, etc. These apparatuses help develop the child both physically and intellectually. Let's give you a brief idea of the different parts that make up the whole experience.

Sensorial: We know that children first experience the world through their senses. Dr. Montessori said, "Nothing comes to the intellect that is not first in the senses". In our Montessori environment, we have a wide range of sensorial materials designed to help the children develop their senses. The children will gain the ability to make judgements, to compare and discriminate on the basis of size, weight, texture and colour, taste, temperature, smell etc.

Culture: The cultural materials help the children develop an awareness of the world in which they live; through the knowledge of geography, history, science, art, music, botany, biology, etc.

Mathematics: With the help of the mathematical apparatus, the children learn the basic rules of mathematics, and acquire the concepts through concrete activities.

Language: The language materials develop communicating, listening, reading, and writing skills. We conduct many exercises to facilitate language development along with inculcating an interest in reading. Our medium of instruction is English.

Independence: Children are helped towards independence as early as possible so that they can function by themselves and within a group. Here the children grow up close to nature and achieve harmony with it, learn to take care of themselves as well as of the environment and develop their social awareness.

Keeping these principles in mind, we have designed our environment to suit your child's needs. Your child will be in the care of trained Montessori educators with years of teaching experience. The teaching conducted is based purely on Montessori principles using the Montessori apparatus, with special emphasis on sensorial, linguistic, and mathematical development.
